Licensing & software

This is a Serato DJ Lite hardware unlocked device, meaning it unlocks Serato DJ Lite when connected.

It is also a paid upgrade to Serato DJ Pro device, meaning it requires the purchase & activation of a Serato DJ Pro license, in order to be used with Serato DJ Pro.

Drivers & firmware

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 does not require manufacturer-specific drivers on either Windows or Mac
operating systems, and is plug-and-play with Serato DJ Lite.

On Windows, you may see some generic class drivers installed by the operating system to facilitate
communication with the device.

Audio

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 does not have a built-in sound card, meaning the 'Use Laptop Speakers' in the Audio tab of the Setup menu is automatically enabled and greyed out.

Using Split Headphone Cable

To use headphones with this device, a 1/8" (3.5mm) Stereo to 2x Mono Splitter audio cable must be connected to your computer's headphone jack. This cable was supplied in the box with your device.

Note: A 1/8" (3.5mm) Stereo to 2x Stereo headphone splitter will not work. The splitter must separate the left and right audio channels.

  1. Connect the Split Headphone Cable to the headphone output on your computer
  2. Connect your headphones to the Left output of the Split Headphone Cable
  3. Connect your speakers to the Right output of the Split Headphone Cable
  4. Ensure your computer audio output is set to output via the headphone jack
  5. Launch Serato DJ Lite
  6. Open the Serato DJ Lite Setup Menu
  7. Navigate to the Audio tab
  8. Enable the 'Use Split Headphone Cable' option in the Audio tab of the Serato DJ Lite Setup Menu

Note: If the computer output device is changed while Serato DJ Lite is open with the DDJ-200 connected, you will need to disconnect and reconnect the device, or close and reopen Serato DJ Lite.

Not using Split Headphone Cable

All audio from Serato DJ Lite is routed via the device selected to handle the computer audio output. Follow the guide below to select the desired audio output for your device.
