Serato Sample 1.4.1 - now with Apple Silicon support (M1/M2) & compatibility with macOS 13 Ventura

Serato Sample 1.4.1 adds native support for macOS computers with Apple Silicon (M1/M2 &
variants), as well as support for macOS 13 Ventura

If you've previously used Serato Sample on a macOS computer with Apple Silicon, you can now disable the Open using Rosetta preference in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), after updating to Serato Sample 1.4.1.

Get the latest version below:

Disabling Rosetta to ensure Serato Sample runs natively

  1. Open a Finder window
  2. Navigate to Applications > Your DAW (Maschine/Ableton Live or FL Studio for Mac)
  3. Right-click on the respective application shortcut, and choose Get Info
  4. Under the section entitled General un-tick the Open using Rosetta preferenceScreenshot_2023-02-27_at_2.13.31_PM.png

However, as not all third-party plugins have native Apple Silicon support, you may find your other plugins don't operate correctly without using Rosetta 2 emulation. In this case, simply re-enable the preference above. If you're unsure whether your other third-party plugins support use in your DAW as a native Apple Silicon application, check with the manufacturer of those plugins.

Completing the steps above should now also resolve all of the following known issues from using Serato Sample 'out of process' in a native, Apple Silicon-supported DAW:
