How can we help?

KNOWN ISSUE: Serato Sample may not sync correctly to your project BPM in FL Studio on macOS 11 Big Sur or macOS 12 Monterey with Apple M1 computers

We are aware of an issue whereby Serato Sample may not sync correctly to your project BPM, in FL Studio, on computers with macOS 11 Big Sur or macOS 12 Monterey, on an Apple Silicon (M1 series)

The BPM in Serato Sample may show an errant value when synced, that does not align with your project BPM. This issue occurs due to Serato Sample running 'out of process', given that FL Studio on macOS runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1 series) hardware, while Serato Sample wants to be run in the emulated Rosetta 2 layer.

NOTE: This does not affect Apple computers on macOS 11 Big Sur, or macOS 12 Monterey, with Intel-based CPUs.

WORKAROUND

To resolve this issue, simply run FL Studio in the emulated 'Rosetta' emulation layer:

  1. Close FL Studio, and navigate to Applications > FL Studio
  2. Right-click on FL Studio, and choose, Get Info
  3. Under General enable the checkbox next to Open using Rosetta (as per the image below):
