How can we help?

Intro : Getting Started

When launching Serato Studio, you will be presented with the option of starting with a 'New Beat' or a 'New DJ Edit'. You will also be given the option to start a ‘New Beat’ with a genre template.

NOTE: You can manually trigger this welcome screen by clicking on ‘File’ in the top toolbar of the software and then selecting ‘New Project from Template.

New Beat with Genre

To select this option, click on one of the genre buttons shown at the bottom of the window. This will launch a new Serato Studio project with a Drum Rack loaded that is most fitting to the selected genre. The project BPM and ‘example beat’ button will also be set to fit the selected genre.

NOTE: Click on the left and right arrows next to the genres to show more options

New DJ Edit

Choosing this option will launch a new Serato Studio Project with a new Audio Deck, allowing you to get straight into editing a track

NOTE:  If you wish to stop the template window appearing on each launch of the software, untick the ‘Show on launch’ button in the bottom left corner of the window.

First Use Tour

On the first launch of Serato Studio you will be presented with a First Use Tour. The tour will be catered to the ‘Make a Beat’ or 'Make a DJ Edit’ option you selected from the welcome screen. This offers a walkthrough of Serato Studio's basic functions to help you get started.

You can manually trigger either the ‘Make a Beat’ or Make a DJ Edit’ Tour from the Help menu dropdown. Click the link below for more info:
