How can we help?

Using USB Hubs with Serato DJ

Needing to connect to more USB devices but you've run out of ports? An externally powered USB hub is the easiest, most reliable solution.Using a non-powered USB hub, splitter, docking station or, any other USB device to connect any primary Serato Hardware or other devices to your computer may cause issues with connection and audio quality.

Using a non-powered USB hub, splitter, docking station or, any other USB device to connect any primary Serato Hardware or other devices to your computer may cause issues with connection and audio quality.

We recommend that where possible, always connecting your primary Serato Hardware directly to your computers 'best' USB port (Not all USB ports are equal, and some perform better than others. As a rule of thumb the USB port closest to the power supply of your computer will be the 'best' USB port) and using an externally powered USB 3.0 hub to connect secondary devices to the computer for use with Serato DJ. Examples of secondary devices would be External Hard Drives, Official Serato Accessories, MIDI Controllers & CDJs in HID mode.

Note: The new 2016 MacBook Pro models have USBc ports and will require specific USB adapters and/or USB HUBs.

There is already a range of third-party USB adapters/hubs available for USBc, (and the list continues to grow!) we can't test every available USBc adapter/hub on the market, so for use with Serato DJ we recommend the official Apple adapters/HUBs for use with USBc.
