How can we help?

KNOWN ISSUE: Serato Sample may display "Enter Voucher" after login via Splice Rent-to-Own

We are aware of an issue whereby Serato Sample may ask a user to Enter Voucher even if the Splice Rent-to-Own payment plan has been paid off, and the correct Serato.com account is used for login

This likely has occurred due to errant Splice licensing files superseding Serato's own licensing, and you may see the error message below, despite being signed in with the Serato.com account, where your Sample license is located:

Workaround

Remove the Splice licensing files should prompt the Serato licensing to take precedence.

  1. Please close all Serato applications, then navigate to:
    • Windows: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SpliceSettings\license
NOTE: The AppData folder is usually hidden on Windows by default. To show hidden files, open any folder and in the folder menu click Organise > Folder and Search Options > View > Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives. You can also change Hidden folder options in: Control Panel > Appearance & Personalisation > Folder Options. In the General Tab check: "Show all folders", in the View Tab check: "Show hidden folders”.
    • macOS: ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Support/Splice/license
  2. Delete the serato_sample_s1.lic file located in that folder.
  3. After the file is deleted, launch Serato Sample, log-in, and try to activate again.
