Licensing & software
This is a Serato DJ Lite hardware unlocked device, meaning it unlocks Serato DJ Lite when connected.
It is also a paid upgrade to Serato DJ Pro device, meaning it requires the purchase & activation of a Serato DJ Pro license, in order to be used with Serato DJ Pro.

Drivers & firmware
The Hercules DJControl Jogvision is class-compliant when used with macOS, but requires manufacturer-specific drivers on Windows operating systems.
If you're using Windows, please download and install the driver from Hercules’ website, here.
Whether you're using Mac or Windows, download and install any available firmware updates from the website too.
Once the drivers and any available firmware updates are installed, simply launch & activate the latest version of Serato DJ Lite and connect your Hercules device using the USB connection.

Air FX
The Hercules DJControl Jogvision has a proximity sensor Instant Filter. By turning the AIR FX on and moving your hand over the AIR CONTROL sensor you are able to engage a Low Pass Filter for the channels which have Air FX active.
Hold your hand high to start filtering, lower the hand towards the controller to increase the depth of the filter. When the hand is taken away the filter is removed. The intensity of the filter is displayed on the MIN/MAX LCD meter.
Performance Pads
Choose the Performance Pad mode you want to use by holding the MODE button and pressing one of the Pads 1 or 2. Hold MODE and press Pad 1 for CUES 1-4 or press Pad 2 for SAMPLES.
While in Cue mode, pressing a pad will set/play a Cue Point. Hold SHIFT and press a Cue Point pad to delete the Cue Point.
While in Sampler modes, pressing a pad will trigger samples in Serato DJ Lite's Sampler slots.
Hold SHIFT and press a Sampler pad to stop the playing sample. If no sample is loaded, pressing an empty pad while in Sampler modes will load the currently highlighted file in your library to the Sampler slot.
DJ-FX
The FX panel button is displayed in the top left area of the main Serato DJ Lite screen, click on this to toggle the DJ-FX panel.
With the DJ-FX panel open, you have control of two DJ-FX units, and if your hardware supports it, Channel FX, which can be applied to tracks played through your connected Serato DJ-hardware.
Both DJ-FX & Channel FX can be controlled with your mouse or by using dedicated controls on your hardware (where available).

NOTE: The best way to edit the in and out points of a manual loop is with the jog wheel/platter on your DJControl Jogvision.
Help
Show Tooltips
Click on the Help button in the upper right-hand corner of Serato DJ Lite, then Show Tooltips to enable Tooltips. Tooltips provide a handy way to learn the various features of Serato DJ Lite.
Move the mouse over a section of the software to bring up a context-sensitive tooltip that describes the feature.
Click on the Help button again to turn off Tooltips.
Show Shortcut Keys
Click on the Help button in the upper right-hand corner of Serato DJ Lite, then click Show Shortcut Keys to launch a pop-up window displaying shortcut keyboard combinations.
These shortcuts can help you perform various actions quickly, such as triggering specific deck functions, controlling playback, or navigating the library.
