We are aware of an issue whereby Serato DJ Pro or Lite may fail to install on computers with macOS 13 Ventura or higher
This is due to Installer not having sufficient permissions on macOS Ventura, and after attempting to install Serato DJ Pro or Lite, you may see an error like the one below:
Allowing Installer
To rectify the issue, please run the installer again, ensuring that you press "Ok" on the "Installer would like to access files in your Downloads folder" pop-up as shown below.
Note: If the installer is located in a different folder "Downloads" will be replaced by the name of the folder the installer is located within.
Manually adding Installer permissions
If you are not presented with the popup upon installation, you will need to give Installer permissions manually. Follow the steps below to do so.
- Open System Settings
- Click on Privacy and Security
- Click on Full Disk Access
- Click the + button
- Press CMD + Shift + G to open the "Go" menu and paste this directory without the quotation marks "/System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app"
- If you can't find "Installer.app" using step 5, try typing "Installer.app" without quotation marks into the search bar in the top right-hand side of the window
- Once you have the Installer.app selected, click "Open"
- Try installing Serato DJ Pro or Lite again
Note: The Installer utility is responsible for all application installations, including those outside of Serato. You may wish to revert to these steps once you successfully install Serato DJ
