Using Scratch Banks with Serato DJ Lite

Scratch Banks are also available as a performance pad mode, on a variety of Serato-compatible hardware, with Serato DJ Lite.

NOTE: In some cases, a firmware update is required to use the Scratch Banks feature, so please ensure you have the latest, respective firmware for your hardware, installed. For all devices, please ensure you have the latest version of Serato DJ Lite installed.

Scratch Banks is a pad mode allowing you to assign scratch samples and tracks in your Serato DJ Lite library to a pad. When that pad is triggered, the corresponding file will be loaded to deck, allowing you to quickly change samples and spend more time focusing and practicing your scratch routine.

Holding SHIFT on your device, while pressing an assigned/loaded Pad, will reload the previously loaded track to the relevant virtual deck.

Pre-installed Scratch Bank Samples & Scratch Bank Beats for Serato DJ Lite:

Serato DJ Lite versions with Scratch Bank capability will install 4 Scratch Bank samples to get you started, and if you've never used Scratch Banks slots 1-4 in Serato DJ Pro, or have never loaded Scratch samples to those slots, they will also pre-load into the available Scratch Bank slots in Serato DJ Lite.

For all users these samples will be located in a new, automatically created crate entitled Scratch Bank Tracks, meanwhile the actual files themselves are located in the following directory:

All users will also receive 5 Scratch Bank Beats, which give you some quick, instrumental tracks to practice your scratches - these are installed into an automatically created crate entitled Scratch Bank Beats, meanwhile the actual files themselves are located in the following directory:
