The Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3 cannot use either the Make Audio output available to other applications, or Use laptop speakers features, as this device uses a hardware mixed routing architecture, that allows Serato DJ Pro users to make use of the built-in Pioneer FX
If you're using this device with Serato DJ Pro, and you'd like to live stream, you will need:
- a secondary computer, to capture to record a spare output on the XDJ-RX3
- additional audio cables and/or audio cable adapters
- a line input built-into your secondary computer (a regular mic input is not suitable), or an external audio interface/sound-card, with line inputs
Suggested configuration
- Connect your Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3 to the computer where Serato DJ Pro will be used, using a USB cable. Then connect your main speakers using one of either the Master 1 or Master 2 outputs, and launch the latest version of Serato DJ Pro.
- Connect a secondary set of audio cables from either the the Booth output on the XDJ-RX3, to the line input on your secondary computer, or the line input on your secondary computers external audio interface/sound-card.
- Configure OBS (or your favourite broadcast/streaming platform) on the secondary computer, to 'listen' to the line input that you connected to in step 2 above.
Our Getting Serato DJ Pro & Lite ready to Live Stream article includes instructions, however you will need to substitute selecting either Serato Virtual Audio (macOS) or Virtual Audio Cable (Windows), with the relevant input on your secondary computer. - Check the level in OBS before starting your stream, by adjusting either the Booth Monitor control on your XDJ-RX3, and/or the line input controls or input gain control on the external audio interface/sound-card connected to that secondary computer.
