How can we help?

KNOWN ISSUE: Rane Sixty-series mixers may result in random distortion when used with Windows 10 version 1703 or higher

We are aware of random distortion that can occur when using Rane Sixty-series mixers with Serato DJ software on Windows 10 version 1703 or higher

There is currently no workaround, other than using a version of Windows 10 that does not suffer from the issue, and while Rane has acknowledged this issue on their website, we do encourage users to get in touch with the Rane support team directly, if further information is required.

The version of Windows 10 prior to the affected version (1703) above, is Windows 10 version 1607

How do I find out what version of Windows 10 I have installed?

  1. Right-click on your Windows Start button, then choose System
  2. Under Windows specifications look-out for Version
  3. If the Version number is 1703 or higher, then you may encounter the distortion mentioned above. In our example below, the system has version 21H1, which is higher than 1703 and thus may be affected:

I have an affected version of Windows 10 installed, what can I do to avoid the potential distortion?

At this point, your best bet is to roll back (if possible) to or use a computer with a version of Windows 10 that is not affected.  We do acknowledge this may cause issues with other applications or maybe inconvenient, however, this is the only way to work around the issue.

You can find some tips for doing this, in our Downgrading your operating system article.

As always, it's worth referring to our Serato Software / Operating System compatibility article.
