Using Serato DJ Pro with high definition displays

Serato DJ Pro supports high-resolution displays, including Retina, 4K, and UHD monitors. This guide provides instructions on optimizing Serato DJ Pro's interface for high-definition displays on both macOS and Windows systems.

Enabling Hi-Res Screen Display in Serato DJ Pro

To enhance visual clarity on high-definition displays, enable the Hi-Res Screen Display option:

  1. Open Serato DJ Pro.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Library + Display.
  3. Check the box for Hi-Res Screen Display.
  4. Restart Serato DJ Pro to apply the changes.

Note: Enabling this option may increase system resource usage and could affect performance on lower-spec computers.

Alternative Display Scaling Options

If enabling Hi-Res Screen Display impacts performance, consider adjusting your operating system's display settings.

macOS

  1. Open System Preferences (or System Settings) and click Displays.
  2. Select the Display tab and click on Scaled next to Resolution.
  3. Choose the Larger Text option to increase the size of interface elements, making Serato DJ Pro easier to use on high-definition screen.

Windows

Adjust both the display resolution and scaling settings:

To adjust scaling (DPI):

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
  2. Under Scale and layout, use the drop-down menu to change the size of text, apps, and other items.
  3. For 4K displays, a scaling percentage of 300% is recommended.

To adjust resolution:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
  2. Under Display resolution, choose an appropriate resolution that balances clarity and performance.
