Serato DJ Pro supports high-resolution displays, including Retina, 4K, and UHD monitors. This guide provides instructions on optimizing Serato DJ Pro's interface for high-definition displays on both macOS and Windows systems.
Enabling Hi-Res Screen Display in Serato DJ Pro
To enhance visual clarity on high-definition displays, enable the Hi-Res Screen Display option:
- Open Serato DJ Pro.
- Navigate to Setup > Library + Display.
- Check the box for Hi-Res Screen Display.
- Restart Serato DJ Pro to apply the changes.
Note: Enabling this option may increase system resource usage and could affect performance on lower-spec computers.
Alternative Display Scaling Options
If enabling Hi-Res Screen Display impacts performance, consider adjusting your operating system's display settings.
macOS
- Open System Preferences (or System Settings) and click Displays.
- Select the Display tab and click on Scaled next to Resolution.
- Choose the Larger Text option to increase the size of interface elements, making Serato DJ Pro easier to use on high-definition screen.
Windows
Adjust both the display resolution and scaling settings:
To adjust scaling (DPI):
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Under Scale and layout, use the drop-down menu to change the size of text, apps, and other items.
- For 4K displays, a scaling percentage of 300% is recommended.
To adjust resolution:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Under Display resolution, choose an appropriate resolution that balances clarity and performance.
Tip: Experiment with different combinations of scaling and resolution settings to find the optimal balance for your specific display and performance requirements.
