When enabling the DVS Expansion Pack, the device actually switches from one sound card to the other, which causes a similar behaviour to actually disconnecting and reconnecting the controller.

This is a limitation of the hardware and cannot be resolved.

As a workaround, we recommend to always choose wether to have the DVS Expansion Pack activated (or de-activated) based on your performance requirements.
