The Rane Series is a legacy collection of TDM plug-ins designed for Digidesign Pro Tools HD and VENUE systems. These plug-ins were available in two versions:
- Equalizers: Includes a 31-band Graphic EQ and a 10-band Parametric EQ.
- Dynamics: Includes the Rane Series Compressor and Rane Series Gate.
Key Features:
- Sample Rates: Supports up to 192kHz and can be used in mono, stereo, or multi-mono modes.
- Platforms: Designed for Digidesign Pro Tools HD and VENUE, suitable for both studio and live environments.
- Metering: Both the EQ and Dynamics plug-ins offer RMS and peak level metering, with options for dBFS or dBVU scales.
- Auto Level Compensation: Available on both Equalizers and Dynamics, linking input and output gain for consistent levels.
Rane Series Graphic EQ
The Graphic EQ eliminates band interaction using Rane's patented Perfect-Q™ technology, previously available only in their award-winning hardware. This technology ensures the response curve passes through every slider, allowing precise control to notch out a single frequency or shape the overall curve to your preference.
- 31 bands for precise control
- Cut-only mode for isolating problem frequencies
- Proportional-Q mode option for traditional response
- Rane's Perfect-Q™ technology eliminates adjacent filter interaction
Rane Series Parametric EQ
The Parametric EQ delivers clean and natural sound, even at extreme settings where other EQs might distort. Each of the ten bands can be adjusted between 12.5Hz to 20kHz and switched between high-shelf, low-shelf, or bell filter modes.
- 10 parametric filters with adjustable frequency ranges from 12.5Hz to 20kHz
- Each filter is switchable between high-shelf, low-shelf, or bell filtering
- Advanced filter smoothing prevents abrupt transitions when switching filter types, making it ideal for live environments
Rane Series Dynamics
The Rane Series Dynamics plug-ins include the Compressor and Gate, modelled after Rane's high-end hardware, such as the C4 Compressor and G4 Gate, but with an intuitive graphical interface.
- Auto Mode: Automatically adjusts attack and release values based on signal dynamics.
- Dynamic EQ Mode: Enables de-essing or selective frequency compression for more precise control.
