DJ Preferences control how Serato DJ for iOS behaves when you load tracks, mix and play.
To open them, tap the Cog icon, then go to Advanced Settings > DJ Preferences.
Some preferences need a Serato DJ Suite subscription. In Free Mode they show a padlock. These are marked below.
Playback
Lock Playing Deck (Serato DJ Suite)
Prevents accidental track loads. When it’s on, you can only change the track on a Deck that is paused.
Sort Cues & Loops Chronologically (Serato DJ Suite)
Sorts the Cue Points and Saved Loops on a track in the order they appear in the track.
Show Beat Jump Controls (Serato DJ Suite)
Shows the Beat Jump controls and lets you use them from supported hardware.
Quantize Value
Sets the beat interval used when Quantize is on.
Cue Loops
Lets you save loops with cues.
Replace Pad Mode with Stems
Replaces a Pad Mode on your hardware with Serato Stems. These options appear when you connect supported hardware. See [LINK: Controlling Serato Stems With Your DJ Hardware].
Replace Pad Mode with Stems
A switch that turns the feature on or off.
Replaced Pad Mode
Shows which Pad Mode is replaced by Serato Stems, for example Sampler. Tap it to choose a different one.
Braking
Sets how quickly a Deck stops and starts when you press play or pause. Your settings are saved between sessions.
Start Time
Adjusts how quickly a Deck speeds up when you press play.
Stop Time
Adjusts how quickly a Deck slows down when you press pause. This slider is hidden if your hardware controls it.
On Song Load
Play from first Cue Point (Serato DJ Suite)
Starts each track from its first Cue Point when you load it.
Turn off FX
Turns off the FX on a Deck when you load a track to it.
Maintain Sync (Serato DJ Suite)
A switch that keeps Sync on when you load a new track to a synced Deck.
Analyze Stems
Gets a track’s stems ready as soon as you load it, rather than when you first use Serato Stems.
Sync Preferences
Tempo Slider affects all synced decks
Applies to Digital Vinyl System (DVS) users only, so it only appears when DVS is on. It’s off by default.
Beatgrid
BPM Changes
Choose whether BPM changes show On Beats or On Bars.
Waveform BPM Labels
Choose whether BPM labels on the waveform show for All Changes, Major Changes or None.
Send Usage Data to Serato
Shares usage data to help us improve Serato DJ for iOS. It’s on by default.
