Open Streaming lets you log in to more than one streaming service at the same time in Serato DJ Pro, Serato DJ Lite and Serato DJ for iOS and use them all in the same session.
To use Open Streaming, you need Serato DJ Pro 5.0 or later. You also need an active subscription for each streaming service you want to use. See the article for each service for its subscription requirements.
Turning on your streaming services
- Open Serato DJ Pro and go to Setup > Library + Display > Music Streaming.
- Enable Show Streaming Services.
- Tick the checkbox next to each streaming service you want to use.
- Click a service’s name, then click Sign up / Login to <service>. Your web browser opens to that service’s login page.
- Log in, then click Open Serato DJ Pro when your browser asks.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each service you ticked.
Each service you’re logged in to appears as its own crate in your crate list. You can move between services without logging out of any of them.
NOTE: Clicking a service’s name shows its login and account details. It does not untick the service. To hide a service from your crate list, untick its checkbox.
Adding streaming tracks to your crates
You can add streaming tracks to your own Serato crates and Smart Crates. A single crate can hold tracks from different streaming services alongside your local files.
To add a streaming track, drag it into a crate from any of these places:
- a streaming playlist
- your streaming search results
- a deck
Streaming tracks stay in your crates until you remove them.
NOTE: Streaming tracks only show in your crates while that service is ticked, you are logged in, and Show Streaming Services is enabled.
Searching a streaming service
When more than one streaming service is ticked, a dropdown appears next to the Streaming Search button.
- Click the dropdown and choose the service you want to search.
- Type in the search box. Results come from your library and from the chosen service.
Logging out of a service
Go to Setup > Library + Display > Music Streaming, click the service’s name, and click Log Out.
If a track from a streaming service is loaded to a deck, Serato DJ Pro asks you to confirm first. The prompt reads “Currently loaded streaming tracks will be ejected.” Click Yes to log out, or No to cancel.
NOTE: You can’t record while a streaming track is loaded to any deck.
