Loop Roll sets a loop for as long as you hold a pad. When you let go, playback jumps to where the track would have been if it had not looped.
NOTE: Loop Roll requires a Serato DJ Suite license. It is not available in Free mode.
Use Loop Roll
- Tap Pad Mode and select Loop Roll.
- Press and hold a pad. The loop plays while you hold it.
- Release the pad to end the loop.
Each pad shows the loop size it triggers. Use short sizes to create a “stutter” effect.
Loop Roll sizes range from 1/8 to 16 beats. When hardware is connected, the pads on screen show the Loop Roll sizes your hardware triggers.
Unlike Auto Loop, a Loop Roll is not turned on and off. It stays engaged only while the pad is held.
Beat Jump controls
To add Beat Jump to Loop Roll, turn on Show Beat Jump Controls. Tap the cog icon in the top right corner, then tap Advanced Settings > DJ Preferences.
Beat Jump controls then appear in the bottom row of pads in Loop Roll and Auto Loop pad modes.
