Analyze files prepares the waveform overviews, detects file corruption, calculates the Key/BPM values and creates Beatgrids.

Analyzing files in Serato DJ for iOS ensures that your songs are ready for you when you need to use them, and reduces CPU load when DJ-ing. We recommend you analyze songs as they are added to your library for best performance.

Analyze on Import

Serato DJ for iOS has an “Analyze on Import” feature. This feature automatically analyzes newly imported audio files for key information such as BPM, key, beatgrid etc.

This setting is enabled by default. However you can toggle this option in Advanced Settings > Library

How to Analyze Files

To analyze a single file in Serato DJ for iOS, simply tap and hold the song and then tap “Analyze”.

To analyze multiple files at once, navigate to the crate with the songs you want to analyze and tap the three dots in the bottom right corner. Then tap edit and select the tracks you want to analyze or tap the three dots in the top right corner and tap “Select All”. Once you are happy with the selection, tap “Analyze” and wait for the analysis to complete.
