Analyze files prepares the waveform overviews, detects file corruption, and if enabled, calculates the Key/BPM values and creates Beatgrids.
Analyzing files in Serato DJ Pro ensures that your songs are ready for you when you need to use them, and reduces CPU load when DJ-ing. We recommend you analyze songs as they are added to your library for best performance.
NOTE: If you have files you don’t want to analyze, you can Lock tracks

Analyze on Import
Serato DJ 4.0 now boasts the "Analyze on Import" feature in Serato DJ. Automatically analyzes newly imported audio files for key information such as BPM, key, beatgrid etc.
This setting is enabled by default. However you can toggle this option in the Analyze Files settings.
How to Analyze Files
To analyze your files open Serato DJ Pro and locate the Analyze files button, click this to automatically analyze ALL the tracks in your library.
Serato DJ’s file analysis feature also allows you to drag and drop individual folders, crates and files onto the button to analyze small or specific groups of files at a time.
When Re-Analyzing make sure the 'Analyze BPM / Beatgrid' box is checked if you wish to re-create your Beatgrids.
In Serato DJ 4.0 you can also analyze files by highlighting a track, a selection of tracks or an entire Crate, Right-Clicking and selecting the Analyze Files button:
NOTE: If you are using Serato DJ Pro 3.3.5 or below you must disconnect your DJ hardware in order to analyse your files.
