We are currently investigating an issue whereby Serato DJ may suffer from (small) GUI freezes during playback, when a strong light is shone into or near the ambient light sensor on Touchbar-equipped Macbook Pro models from the 2016/2017 range.

The work-around for now, is to disable 'App Controls' Touchbar setting for the keyboard, which can be accessed via System Preferences --> Keyboard --> Keyboard tab --> Touchbar Shows.
