You may want to share your presets with other Hex FX users, back them up for safekeeping, or move them to a different computer.

The following instructions detail locating, sharing, and loading presets.

Hex FX preset location

• macOS: Macintosh HD → Users → yourusername → Library* → Application Support → Serato → Serato Hex FX → Saved Presets
  

  • Reveal the hidden Library folder on macOS by navigating to the parent folder, then pressing CMD + SHIFT + PERIOD/FULL STOP (.) on your keyboard, or holding OPTION on your keyboard after clicking on the Go Finder menu.
    

• Windows: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Serato\Serato Hex FX\Saved Presets

  • Reveal the hidden AppData folder on Windows by clicking VIEW > SHOW > HIDDEN ITEMS (enable) or VIEW > OPTIONS > CHANGE FOLDER AND SEARCH OPTIONS > VIEW (tab) > ADVANCED SETTINGS > SHOW HIDDEN FILES, FOLDERS AND DRIVES > OK (confirm)

Sharing a Preset

1. On the computer #1, if you haven't already, create & save a Hex FX preset as detailed in Presets
2. Open the Preset Browser, and click the Saved Preset Category filter
3. Right-click on the desired user preset, and click Show in File Explorer/Finder (or manually locate it via the Hex FX preset location):
4. Send the relevant .hexfx-preset file (the one with the title you specified in step 1) to a friend, or save it for backup or transfer to another computer.

Loading a Preset

1. Close any open DAW software, and ensure Hex FX is not open
2. Copy and paste the relevant .hexfx-preset file into the directory mentioned in the Hex FX preset location, on computer #2
3. Launch your DAW and open Hex FX
4. Open the Preset Browser, and click the Saved Preset Category filter
5. Click on the new preset to load it
