You may want to share your presets with other Hex FX users, back them up for safekeeping, or move them to a different computer.
The following instructions detail locating, sharing, and loading presets.
Hex FX preset location

macOS: Macintosh HD → Users → yourusername → Library* → Application Support → Serato → Serato Hex FX → Saved Presets

- Reveal the hidden AppData folder on Windows by clicking VIEW > SHOW > HIDDEN ITEMS (enable) or VIEW > OPTIONS > CHANGE FOLDER AND SEARCH OPTIONS > VIEW (tab) > ADVANCED SETTINGS > SHOW HIDDEN FILES, FOLDERS AND DRIVES > OK (confirm)
Sharing a Preset
- On the computer #1, if you haven't already, create & save a Hex FX preset as detailed in Presets
- Open the Preset Browser, and click the Saved Preset Category filter
- Right-click on the desired user preset, and click Show in File Explorer/Finder (or manually locate it via the Hex FX preset location):
- Send the relevant .hexfx-preset file (the one with the title you specified in step 1) to a friend, or save it for backup or transfer to another computer.
Loading a Preset
- Close any open DAW software, and ensure Hex FX is not open
- Copy and paste the relevant .hexfx-preset file into the directory mentioned in the Hex FX preset location, on computer #2
- Launch your DAW and open Hex FX
- Open the Preset Browser, and click the Saved Preset Category filter
- Click on the new preset to load it
