How can we help?

KNOWN ISSUE: Serato Sample UI is not responding as expected when used with macOS 10.14 Mojave

Remember to check with your Host software (DAW) for OS compatibility

With the release of macOS 10.14 Mojave, we have been testing Serato Sample for compatibility and while things are looking good, we have discovered an issue relating to the UI, which can result in the following:

  • Drop-down fields & parameters with knobs do not function correctly when adjusted and may react unexpectedly
  • Cursor may not appear where expected when adjusting a parameter with the mouse

Resolving the issue is easy and simply requires you allow 'Accessibility' access for your Host software (DAW), which you can achieve by following the steps below:

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Choose Security & Privacy
  3. Choose the Privacy tab, then choose Accessibility
  4. Click on 'Click the lock to make changes.' and enter your user log-in details to make a change
  5. Under 'Allow the apps below to control your computer', locate your chosen Host software / DAW in the list and click the checkbox to enable access, as shown below:
(Ableton Live 10 pictured as an example)
NOTE: Accessibility access for Serato Sample itself is not required and instead must be granted for your Host software / DAW
  6. Once accessibility has been granted, simply re-launch your Host software / DAW and open Serato Sample again
