KNOWN ISSUE: Freeze when disconnecting Numark NV while playing on Windows computers

There is a known issue with the Numark NV and Windows computers. When disconnecting the Numark NV during playback there is a one in three chance that you will experience an OS freeze. This affects all versions of Windows.

This issue is caused by a bug in the Windows MIDI libraries. The workaround is to stop all playing tracks before disconnecting your NV. We have done everything we can to lessen the impact of this issue, but full resolution will require work from Microsoft. 

If you experience a freeze after disconnecting your NV:

  • On Windows 8.1 - go to Task Manager, right click Serato DJ and end the process.
  • On Windows 8 or 7 - re-start your computer.
