Apply the effect by firstly clicking the ON button, and then adjusting the FX depth dial, which adjusts the amount of effect applied.
You can apply the FX by using the FX controls within Serato DJ on your Serato DJ controller, where possible.
BUILD UP THE EFFECTS
TWEAK THE EFFECT
The effect time is set using the tracks BPM value, but by adjusting the BEATSyou can further increase or decrease the effect timing. The BEATS multipliercan be found on the right hand side of each effect unit.
The effect BPM automatically uses the BPM of the track which is loaded to the deck you have the FX unit assigned to.
If you want to manually set the tempo of the effect you can use the TAP button. To reset the tempo is as easy as clicking the 'X' button, or holding down TAPfor 1 second until the automatic BPM returns.
On the far right hand side of the FX unit, you can also choose which channel the FX unit is assigned to.
With 2 Deck controllers, you will have the option of Channels 1 and 2, as well as being able to assign the FX unit to the Master Output, by selecting M.
With 4 Deck controllers you will have the option of Channels 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as Master.
For many of the above steps, you will be able to use your Serato DJ controller, rather than using your mouse. To find out more about the FX controls, download the Quick Start Guide for your controller.
